  • Dr. Colleen Kenney

    Accomplished as the principal physician at East Bay Podiatry, Dr. Colleen Kenney, DPM, brings more than three decades of experience in podiatric medicine, surgery, clinical evaluation, and advanced wound management. Her practice is rooted in comprehensive lower-extremity care, evidence-based treatment, and a patient-centered philosophy guided by strong ethical and faith-based values.

    Dr. Kenney specializes in gait analysis, biomechanical evaluation, congenital and acquired deformities, and the complex relationship between the feet, knees, hips, and spine. Board certified by the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, and certified in wound care, she is highly regarded for treating chronic wounds, diabetic foot complications, limb preservation, and post-surgical recovery. She has held key clinical roles within John Muir Health and Contra Costa County health programs.

    A strong commitment to community service defines Dr. Kenney’s work beyond the clinic. She actively provides foot and wound care to underserved and homeless populations throughout the East Bay, while supervising and mentoring students through outreach and volunteer programs.

    Dr. Kenney is a mother of two and she is an avid hiker and traveler.

  • Dr. Jennifer Strauser

    Dr. Jennifer Strauser has been part of the East Bay Podiatry team for over four years and brings a wealth of experience and warmth to her practice. A Buffalo, New York native, she later made her way to Lincoln, Nebraska, where she spent many years in private practice before relocating to the Bay Area with her family.

    Dr. Strauser and her husband are both retired veterans and proud parents of four children. Patients often comment on her easygoing, down-to-earth style and her ability to make them feel comfortable from the moment they walk in. She provides compassionate, thoughtful care in all areas of general podiatry, including foot and ankle conditions, injuries, surgery, and minor procedures.

    When she’s not in the clinic, Dr. Strauser’s enthusiasm shines - especially during football season, when she’s cheering on her favorite team, the Buffalo Bills. She also enjoys live music and spending quality time with her family.

  • Dr. Beverly Spurs

    Dr. Beverly Spurs, DPM, is a highly experienced podiatrist and a certified wound care specialist at East Bay Podiatry in Concord , California. With 40 years of clinical experience, she specializes in managing complex foot wounds, diabetic ulcers, and routine foot care.

    Specialization: Podiatry and Advanced Wound Care.
    Education: Graduate of the California School of Podiatric Medicine.
    Affiliations: Active staff member at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek and practitioner at the John Muir Wound Care Center.
    Expertise: Evidence-based management of diabetic foot conditions and podiatry.

    Television & "Jeopardy!" Success:
    Affectionately known as the “Queen of Jeopardy,” Dr. Spurs achieved significant success as a contestant on several television game shows.

    Personal Interests:
    Dr. Spurs is an award-winning creative artist skilled in crocheting, knitting, and quilting. Having lived in the UK, British Columbia, and New Zealand, she maintains strong international ties and frequently travels to visit family and friends in those regions.
